TSBTV#2 - Bull Flag Failures
Posted on: January 12, 2009
Flag patterns are common in the charts, so quite often times we see a number of them emerge as potential trade candidates. When the market makes a persistent move in one direction for several days, then pulls back gradually, the environment is ripe for finding some flag patterns.
However, just because you find a bull flag or a bear flag pattern doesn’t mean that continuation is assured. Rather, confirmation must be seen before a play can be made.
At times, the market just doesn’t cooperate to offer those entries, and the flag patterns fail. Today we saw that occur with a number of bull flags which had been building, and in this episode we take a closer look.
